Milwaukee has been on a tear, and despite having injuries are still on top of the league's Power Rankings. Giannis playing center has put the league in a frenzy, but there hasn't been a way to stop him. The true test comes this week when they play the other last undefeated team. Giannis will have one of the best defensive big men guarding him, but Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is now back. The Bucks have only had issues with big men depth so far, but that has not slowed them down one bit.

OG Anunoby played in the 1st week with the team earning 4 wins, but he has been hurt ever since. The only reason this team has lost their 2 games is because of injuries, and Victor Oladipo has now been added to the injury report this week. Jayson Tatum has been tremendous ever since coming back from injury after Week 1. The Clippers will really be tested this week playing 3 playoff teams, and one of the hottest teams in the league.

The only other team that is undefeated is at 3, the only reason is they have not played as many games yet. The two rookies have shown talent already, and this team looks very deep with a great duo of Lillard and Harden. Gobert is now locked up long term, and Philly will have their toughest task coming this week, the game vs Milwaukee. I am expecting this game to be close and could really go either way with Gobert guarding Giannis. If the 76ers beat the Bucks they should be undisputed #1 on next weeks Power Rankings.

OKC has looked tremendous so far with their only loss coming to Philadelphia by 1 point. The team has only really needed major contributions from Leonard and James, with Carmelo averaging the 3rd most points with 10.6 ppg. Everybody else has contributed here and there and it has worked. Lebron at PG has been a success, and outraged the league, but the loss to the 76ers shows that it is not unstoppable. Deandre Jordan has now joined the Thunder in exchange for Javale and Ntilikina, and the trade was great for the Thunder since Javale McGee has an expiring contract and Ntilikina has not really shown much.

Kristaps' has taken a big hit in scoring this season, and it could be a result of the engine. A dropoff of nearly 16 points is unheard of, and Embiid has even taken a hit on his numbers. The team is winning games, and have only lost to Philadelphia twice. A lot of their wins have been blowouts, although Charlotte ended up being blown out by the 76ers just recently. The playbooks may need a little tinkering, but this could be just a result of the engine as we have seen the favoring of guards more than big men this time around.

Brooklyn is out Levert and Adams this week, but won by more than 50 over the Celtics who have Paul George and Russell Westbrook again. The problem with Brooklyn is how the luxury tax is dealt with. The team is currently above 200 gm points in luxury tax, and Deaaron Fox has a contract extension that will kick in this offseason. Steph Curry has been amazing and this team seems poised to make some noise come playoff time.

Dallas is playing two contending teams this week, and Wendell Carter Jr and Marvin Bagley III are both back. They went 3-0 last week while shorthanded in the frontcourt, and this team looks like can truly compete for a title. Demar Derozan is playing out of his mind and is in the MVP conversation and Marvin Bagley has played great also putting up MVP type numbers. It will be very interesting to see where new GM haydengray takes Dallas with options for rebuild or win now being available.

The Spurs started off rocky, but have since been good. Lamelo Ball has emerged, and Anthony Davis has gotten better, but Davis is going to be out for a little while now. He is expected to miss around a month, which can hurt the team's record, but I still expect them to make the playoffs. The Spurs are short on big men with Davis being hurt, since Harrell will have to fill in at the 5, and Willy Hernangomez along with Markieff Morris will have to man the 5 in the 2nd unit. Hernangomez has played well, but this is in pretty limited minutes only playing 11 mpg in 8 games.

Phoenix has been dealing with injuries/absences all season and the same has happened this week. After Jimmy Butler returned to lead the team in scoring to go 3-0 last week, Lowry is now leaving him on his own. Durant is missing with an injury, and the Big 3 have not been on the same wavelength. Brandon Clarke has really played well in his 2nd season scoring efficiently and rebounding well. With the recent news of Demarcus Cousins, it is sad news, but Phoenix is hoping for a signing or trade of Cousins in the NBA. The team now has Lauri Markkanen, but he will have to wait to make his debut another time. Khem Birch has really stepped up when needed and will be a big factor for the Suns.

Detroit has brought in Richaun Holmes, RJ Barrett, Naz Reid, and Aleksej Pokusevski with the recent trade they've made. Deandre Ayton is now gone, but the team now has more depth at the 4 and 5, as well as a talented young guard. Detroit sits at 5 in the East, with Klay Thompson out for the year. With Ayton now gone the starting 5 will not be as dominant, but they finally get the depth they have long been waiting for. Ja has been the leader just his 2nd year in the league and Jerami Grant has played great too. This team looks to be a future year round contender.

Collin Sexton has shown out and led the Cavs to be in the playoff picture. He's has averaged 22 ppg and 6.2 assists. As Mo Bamba is now back he has dominated, and Xavier Tillman has played pretty well too. The Cavs have still not seen the debuts of Jaren Jackson Jr, Kris Dunn, and Zach Collins. The Cavs look to be in good shape with 3 1st round picks in this years draft too. Aaron Gordon has also been hurt, and Harrison Barnes now joins him. With the team rebuilding, they have already passed expectations and look to be in good hands.

Russell Westbrook and Paul George are now healthy, but the Celtics lost to the Nets by over 50 points. The problem is the depth at the 3 and 4. Taj Gibson has started every game so far and is not contributing much on offense. He has only scored 5.5 ppg in 29 mpg. The SF position has been hard too with Paul George being hurt quite often, and James Ennis not contributing much when he takes his place. If the team can get healthy they will have a good chance to make the playoffs.

Miami has exceeded expectations making it into the playoff picture. Rookie Precious Achiuwa has made big contributions, and Jarrett Allen has shown why he was so valued. Malik Beasley has been on fire from 3 shooting 52% and the team has had a good mix of veterans and young players to rebuild while also competing. The Heat have not had the toughest schedule so far, but they have already played the Bucks 2 times. The schedule this week is against many similar level teams, teams around the bottom of playoffs, so although they may not have the toughest week it isn't the easiest.

Houston has had everyone play great, but are still only at .500. The Rockets rely heavily on 3-pointers and Tyler Herro's improvement will have a big effect on the team. Houston played San Antonio this past week, and they lost, but the bench only scored 8 points through the whole game. The top of the team is good, but the bench needs to show up to have a compete.

New Orleans has picked up speed after an 0-3 start. Vucevic has been amazing, and John Wall is averaging over 20 ppg. Jaxson Hayes has been a great rebounder and Rui Hachimura's stats have taken a hit. This is likely due to a decrease in usage. NO not having Jarrett Culver hurts, with them trading the fifth overall pick in that deal. Jarred Vanderbilt and DJ Augustin have been good contributors in his absence. The playoff position the team is in right now is around where I think they will be all season.

Washington is very good when they have Kyrie and Simmons playing together, but the team has seen small injuries with Simmons and their third option, Evan Fournier this year that have hurt their record. The Wizards can definitely compete, but the nagging injuries may end up hurting their chemistry. Kyrie has been amazing so far, and played in every single game, the trade in the offseason definitely looked good so far with Irving not having any health issues.

Atlanta has been hit hard with injuries this season, with Spencer Dinwiddie out for the season and TJ Warren not playing a game yet. Gary Harris is also hurt and it being unknown when he'll be back. Eric Bledsoe has been amazing so far and been keeping the Hawks in contention. Once Warren gets back the team will be in much better shape, but Bledsoe is carrying Atlanta to contention right now. Gary Harris returning would also help a lot with SG being the only position really hurting. Danuel House has filled in but been disappointing this season.

Losing Markelle Fultz for the season has been tough, and Justise Winslow finally looks to come back next week. Utah has missed Booker for a few games this season, but the problem is the front court depth. There is not any viable backup center that can play good minutes. Alex Len has played 10 mpg for them, but not shown a whole lot. Brook Lopez is doing well, but not scoring as much as he should, and after the top 3 scorers nobody averages double digit points. Utah has gotten back on track ever since the 4-game losing streak they had.

Indiana is missing CJ McCollum, although the started the season off well without him, he is a top player in the league, and could make this team a contender. New offseason acquisitions Serge Ibaka and Gordon Hayward have been great and been the 2nd and 3rd options on offense. Indiana will be a very balanced team once McCollum comes back, because they simply just need more scorer right now.

Bradley Beal has shown up for Toronto, but the problem is in the frontcourt. Lamarcus Aldridge has taken a big dip this year, which could very well be a result from the new engine. Mitchell Robinson is out for a month or more, and his absence is huge. Chris Boucher has had to step in, but there is only so much he can do, because as of now both Aldridge and Robinson are hurt. With both Kevin Love and Larry Nance Jr out the big man depth couldn't get much worse. It will be hard for this team to win any games right now, with nobody on the team being in the NLL Top 100.
