Toronto Raptors - Power Ranking

Week Rank Rating Team Record Comment
20 23 10 Tor 2-9 Another silent GM leaves an opening with Toronto as longtime GM Carlspackler finally vanishes. The man hated Discord so much that he never checked in and it ultimately killed his love for the league. The Raps said the new GM needs to be active on Discord....or else. It was a bad season for the Raps, especially with LaMarcus Aldrdige retiring in the middle. Will Beal still be in town when the season begins?
19 22 9 Tor 3-9 Brad Beal was absolutely elite this year, average 28/5, but it wasn’t enough to secure a playoff spot for the Raps
18 29 -16 Tor 1-11 The Raptors are another team that squandered a play off shot this year, and are looking forward to next season.
15 20 28 Tor 5-7 Toronto has entered complete free-fall with an 8-game losing streak. Bradley Beal hasn't been enough to keep them afloat and they've now dropped from the play-in.
14 13 56 Tor 7-5 The whole team was made available here, but nothing came of it. Aldridge retiring hurt them a lot with not being able to get anything for him and losing one of their best players. It is hard to say where the team will be going with great players for win-now, but the pick from New Orleans could choose the path with a possible rebuilding piece coming in. It will be interesting to see their offseason and how it goes for them.
13 20 31 Tor 5-6 The retirement of Aldridge has been a setback for this team, but they are still sprinting towards the finish line to get in the playoffs. Beal is back as well as Schroder. The addition of Portis has paid off and they have a likely lottery pick for this year, so with a little bit of luck they could get a top player in the draft.
12 17 34 Tor 5-5 Toronto has been through a lot this season. The franchise's star Lamarcus Aldridge retired mid season, and there have been a lot of injuries for them. The team is still fighting through and trying to make the playoffs which is still possible only being 4 games out from the 8th seed.
11 22 19 Tor 4-6 Gimme this pick deal: Mitchell Robinson for Bobby Portis and NO first. Bobby improved a lot this season giving him pretty much the same value as MitRob. Trojan deal: Giving Gay and a second for Bojan or I mean Trojan Contractovic was a bit too much.
10 18 34 Tor 5-5 The return of Lamarcus Aldridge and Lou Williams and the acquisition of back up big man Bobby Portis should help Brad Beal and the Wizards make a playoff push. Beal is out for week 11, but should be good to go for week 12
9 20 33 Tor 5-6 Mitchell Robinson is gone, will other top guys on the squad be next? Toronto is already down in the standings so they can't fall much further.
8 15 38 Tor 6-5 Despite LaMarcus Aldridge currently sitting out, the Raptors are slowly inching back into the playoff picture, led by the brilliant Bradley Beal. For a veteran team such as Toronto is, you’d hope to see a few more Ws in their win collumn, there have been rumors that Carl is exploring tearing things down, but righting the ship isn’t outside the realm of possibility.
7 18 27 Tor 5-6 Toronto has made every player available as they sit in 11th in the East. It feels like they should be better with a superstar like Beal, but it just hasn't come together for them to this point. LMA coming back would provide a much needed presence on the inside.
6 23 8 Tor 3-7 Toronto may be back on track now after going on a 1-11 stretch. Lamarcus Aldridge and Mitchell Robinson has hurt the Raptors, but Boucher has filled in very well as of late. Beal as expected has been the leader of this team, and the guard play has not been the problem. They just need more size and with Aldridge and Robinson likely coming back soon, it is going to be alright.
5 26 -2 Tor 1-8 THE surprise team of the season thus far, and unfortunately this is not a positive context. The Raptors just cant seem to find success this season, perhaps partly due to injuries to major pieces in the Center Robinson and for a short stint Aldridge and a couple of others. This team has the talent to be a playoff contender in the East without a doubt, and the results are very puzzling. Toronto will be a situation we monitor as we move into the trade deadline part of the season. Will we see Beal leave the North? Will the team bring in additional pieces to right the ship? Time will tell!
4 24 2 Tor 1-8 Bradley Beal has shown up for Toronto, but the problem is in the frontcourt. Lamarcus Aldridge has taken a big dip this year, which could very well be a result from the new engine. Mitchell Robinson is out for a month or more, and his absence is huge. Chris Boucher has had to step in, but there is only so much he can do, because as of now both Aldridge and Robinson are hurt. Toronto does not have their pick and they are currently a lottery team, and there is still time for them to come back.
3 14 43 Tor 5-5 Toronto's team on paper is a really good mix of veteran leaders that all fit together nicely and should produce a high playoff finish. But, they are 5-5 because LMA has been out a lot, Beal has joined him on the sidelines at times, Mitch Robinson hasn't missed time...yet...but he's about to be out for a number of weeks and while Chris Boucher has been on the rise, he's still an engine away from really producing with 2k and their inability to update athleticism and tendencies mid season. They're holding on right now, and they won't go away. They don't own their pick, so there's no option to go full backwards, but maybe if the losing continues some of the other vets will become more readily available.
2 10 46 Tor 5-2 Toronto lucked into a somewhat soft schedule in week one, but got exposed in week two with losses to Phoenix and Charlotte, despite being fully healthy. Now with LaMarcus Aldridge out and week 3 games against Philadelphia, New York and Phoenix looming, the wheels are about to come off.
1 4 38 Tor 4-0 Toronto made some offseason moves that seems to have helped the team chemistry, as they breezed through their first week. Granted, they played teams with injured stars and overall weaker teams, but they took advantage and beat the teams they were supposed to.
