Atlanta Hawks - Power Ranking

Week Rank Rating Team Record Comment
20 22 13 Atl 3-8 The Hawks are also looking at a new GM now that longtime (but often silent) skipper Banderson is gone. The Hawks already done for the season following a play-in loss to the Knicks but the team should shape up well if the new GM is any good. Eric Bledsoe just put his value through the roof.
19 25 0 Atl 2-9 11 games below .500 and the Hawks still have a shot to make the playoffs. Incredible. Thank Eric Bledsoe
18 25 4 Atl 3-8 The Hawks find themselves in a very tough spot. Without their first round pick they are trying to compete for a playoff spot. As of now they are in the 10 seed, a spot in the play in. But riding a 3 game losing streak, and 2-8 over the last ten, new management has taken over. And the team does not seem to be responding well on the court. But the higher ups may be looking at this season as a wash at this point and are trying to find out who the DAWGS are on the court. Look for the hawks to finish out this season fighting. Fighting for what? We’ll see. But they’ll fight, nonetheless.
15 23 6 Atl 2-7 Atlanta is another Eastern Conference team in free-fall. They have three separate 4-game losing streaks (two of them were of the 5-game variety) since late April and have lost 15 of their last 20.
14 20 28 Atl 4-6 Injuries have been the issue all year long, but they still find themselves in the playoff picture. TJ Warren is out for the season and Spencer Dinwiddie probably is too. The one thing keeping them alive is the depth at the top of the roster, they have 11 players in the Top 260 of the league, so even with the injuries they can still put out a good rotation.
13 27 0 Atl 2-9 Atlanta is still in the playoffs even with this rough stretch. Myles Turner's injury has really hurt them. Nathan Knight, an undrafted free agent, has been a big help in filling in with his absence. The Hawks will hope to stay in the play in game and get some of their players back from injury too make the playoffs.
12 21 20 Atl 4-7 Injuries have been the issue all season for Atlanta, but they still sit in the playoffs despite that. Bledsoe has turned his game to another level this season as well as Joe Harris. I could not imagine if this team was fully healthy.
11 20 30 Atl 5-6 Fear the expiring contract deal: DeRozan is a missing piece for this Atlanta team to be better. They have half of the roster out and also gave away one first round pick. Don’t fear the expiring guys! Bad deal: Danuel House is not anything close to Brunson…
10 13 50 Atl 7-4 The emergence of Eric Bledsoe has been completely unexpected. Atlanta has had the misfortune of being one of the most injury riddled team in the NLL, and yet Bledsoe has been so great that the Hawks are 7 games over .500. Is Bledsoe deserving of some MVP consideration?
9 9 61 Atl 8-4 Eric Bledsoe is defying his NBA counterpart by leading the Hawks not just in scoring, but also to a middling playoff spot in a crowded Eastern Conference.
8 9 62 Atl 8-3 The Hawks are soaring up the ranks, led by... *squints, rubs eyes*... 27 points/game from Eric Bledsoe??? Atlanta has a team full of rock/solid veterans, and while they’re missing the absences of TJ Warren and Spencer Dinwiddie, they haven’t let that drag them down. The question will be how sustainable is Bledsoe’s production, and how good are they without it?
7 7 67 Atl 8-2 I am personally not a big ATL believer, but they keep winning despite all the injuries. They've beaten some pretty good, if not flawed, teams as well during their run, and Bledsoe has been the key, far outplaying his faltering NBA counterpart. Joe Harris is shooting 60% from 3 for the season.
6 8 53 Atl 7-3 Atlanta has had a big comeback this season. With Warren and Dinwiddie getting hurt early, Bledsoe has shown up after a bad start and the Hawks are now in the playoff picture. Myles Turner and Joe Harris have filled in alongside him to make an underrated trio. The Hawks depth has kept them afloat, and Gary Harris has been out for a while and it seems like he could come back soon, but everything is speculation.
5 9 56 Atl 7-3 If Atlanta was healthy I think we'd be talking about one of the surprise teams this season. 2 of the teams top 3 rated players have been out all season, and will be long term, and that will continue to hamper this team all season. Eric Bledsoe and Joe Harris have stepped up immensely to start the season. Let's see if they can keep this up!
4 17 34 Atl 5-6 Atlanta has been hit hard with injuries this season, with Spencer Dinwiddie out for the season and TJ Warren not playing a game yet. Gary Harris is also hurt and it being unknown when he'll be back. Eric Bledsoe has been amazing so far and been keeping the Hawks in contention. Once Warren gets back the team will be in much better shape, but Bledsoe is carrying Atlanta to contention right now. Gary Harris returning would also help a lot with SG being the only position really hurting. Danuel House has filled in but been disappointing this season.
3 16 39 Atl 5-6 Ben is juggling GM life with baby making life...well, baby having life, and for that reason we haven't seen heaps of one of the leagues favs. We wish him all the best for this precious time. The team however is needing more of a rudder. They ,oved DeRozan, which was flagged as a likely option, but the pieces they got in haven't moved the bar enough to make them abouit the same middling team. Bledsoe is taking some hits and Bertans isn't yet living up to the money. Harris however is now one of the premier shooters in the league and is having a career year!
2 21 11 Atl 2-6 Atlanta is one of those teams that seems like they are capable of pulling off runs that could them in playoff contention. They always seem to squeeze the maximum out of the talent they have. But so far this season, some of their top talents (TJ Warren, Spencer Dinwiddie) are on ice. And with Gary Harris joining the injured list, they're going to have to do some serious squeezing. They did pull off a nice win, however, for their first game of week 3, handily beating the Warriors. So maybe we're seeing them start to turn the corner.
1 12 18 Atl 2-2 One of the surprise teams so far, the Hawks have benefited from the emergence of Eric Bledsoe as an elite player... wait, did I hear that correctly??? Turner, Harris and Bertrans are playing well together to make the Hawks, dare I say it, dangerous.
