Utah Jazz - Power Ranking

Week Rank Rating Team Record Comment
20 25 -3 Utah 2-9 Yeet splattered into the league with a splash not unlike...well...you can guess. He traded the whole team, drove his buddy insane and posted like a madman on Discord, rivaling even Titles. We get that he wants Denver to lose the next play-in game. Will Yeet mellow out like a beer left out overnight or will he go nuts again when trading starts?
19 26 -4 Utah 2-9 The injuries to Mitchell Robinson, Markelle Fultz and Zach Collins really hindered the Jazz this year, but have the team set up for success next season
18 21 19 Utah 4-6 Utah, another team free falling down the western conference standings, is hanging on for dear life as they tumble down the standings. Can Devin Booker right the ship?
15 29 -15 Utah 1-10 The losing run that put Utah this low began before he blew up his roster, but recent trades are fairly likely to make sure the losses will keep on coming (though maybe not quite in the same volume, they still have Booker on the team).
14 29 -13 Utah 1-10 Utah has made it known they are going into a rebuild, but have recently picked up John Wall. The team has lots of trades ready to go through with a fire sale going on right before the deadline. The Jazz have their pick and the tanking could win them the lottery to speed up the rebuild.
13 22 16 Utah 3-8 Utah has a new GM in town. Things are about to change with everybody but Booker being made available. The season has been rough with injuries happening left and right, hopefully Siakam can come back soon too. The front office has made it known they are rebuilding though.
12 18 34 Utah 5-7 The Jazz are under new management, and have a great roster right now. Health has been a big problem, but if everything can come together they can compete soon. With a duo of Booker and Siakam they can really shine and with a great bench.
11 16 36 Utah 5-7 Nothing happens deal: No deal to Utah this season. Come on guys let's make some TRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAADES!!!
10 24 10 Utah 3-8 Utah is underachieving but Devin Booker is doing all he can to keep the Jazz in the playoff hunt. In the final game of week 10, Booker dropped 42 points on 8/10 from 3. Utah fans are hoping he keeps up that pace.
9 26 1 Utah 2-9 Devin Booker is consistently a POTW nominee, but that's just about all the Jazz have going for them at this point.
8 25 4 Utah 2-9 The Jazz are another team who’s switched ownership this year, and they’ver encountered their fair share of troubles. For a team with Brogdon, Booker, and Siakam, it’s fair go say they’ve been a little bit of a disappointment so far, but they’ll be a team to watch for as they attempt to turn their season around.
7 21 18 Utah 3-8 The Jazz have a couple of really good players...and not much else. They aren't getting much for points beyond Book, Brogdon, and Siakam, and none of those 3 guys except maybe Book is a true #1 option that can carry a team. Another team that will be eyeing one of those top picks, it'll be interesting if they try and parley one of those players into such a pick should they miss out.
6 22 20 Utah 3-7 This team has a roster I really like, it's hard to put it all together though with the injuries they've had, but this team could definitely make the playoffs this year. Winslow has now returned to the team, with Siakam being the only one out short-term. Toppin had a very good week this past week although they went 1-3. If the injuries straighten out they should be fine.
5 10 42 Utah 5-4 A team who is trying to push for playoff contention but I'm not sure has the pieces. They have building blocks in Booker and Siakam, and a couple of role players in Lopez, Brogdon, and others. Their recent 3 game stretch has seen losses to NYK, POR, and CHI, 3 teams currently outside of the top 8 seeds in their respective conferences. I wouldn't expect them to be slotted this high in next weeks rankings. Luckily there is still plenty of time to right the ship!
4 18 30 Utah 4-5 Losing Markelle Fultz for the season has been tough, and Justise Winslow finally looks to come back next week. Utah has missed Booker for a few games this season, but the problem is the front court depth. There is not any viable backup center that can play good minutes. Alex Len has played 10 mpg for them, but not shown a whole lot. Brook Lopez is doing well, but not scoring as much as he should, and after the top 3 scorers nobody averages double digit points. Utah has gotten back on track ever since the 4-game losing streak they had.
3 15 40 Utah 5-5 Utah have started the season probably under what anyone would have been expecting and their GM that built the team left after a clerical error meant that their hard cap rule cancelled out a signing of Austin Rivers. The new GM is finding his feet we assume, it is a lot to take in, but really the team was left in really good shape other than the little luxury bill. It will be interesting to see if some rotastion and coaching changes might spice up the line up or maybe they will look to move some of the pieces to make the team their own. A deal for Fultz also fell through from a clerical standpoint due to extension signing, but that's not to say that it's dead in the water...just delayed. The Jazz can be better!
2 23 11 Utah 2-5 Week 2 was tough on the Jazz with Devin Booker out. But Booker is back and Utah is ready to roll. They've got what should be a winnable game against Minnesota and then a tough matchup with Dallas and their new GM. A 2-1 week would be a nice confidence boost, but a 3-0 week that includes a win against a top team in the Western Conference would be a significant statement for the Jazz.
1 14 16 Utah 2-2 Without a GM to start the season, Utah played well, but now they will be out Booker, with Fultz already down for the year. They are potentially a playoff team, but injuries could drop them in time.
