Power Ranking - Mid-Season Predictions(or not)

Jan, 26 (Week 10) - Week 11 is a good and easy time to predict the future of all the league. Let's talk about the best and the worst. Is worth to keep your picks? Is height matters this season? Is Papagianis better than Jeff Forter? Ah ok this one we can't talk about :( [sheed36]

After a loooong rebuild Charlotte fans can finally see their team as one of the best teams in the league. With the help of the best player in NLL, Kristaps Porzingis Hornets have everything to punch their way into the playoffs for the first time in 9 years. However i think Charlotte will slide one position due injuries to Boston Celtics and finish at 4th in the East

Oklahoma just have one single player with -minus points in their entire roster. Poor rookie Kennard has -0,4 when he is on the floor. Maybe it's the only way to beat these guys? They are distancing themselves from the San Antonio Jaegers, i mean Spurs and are 6 games away. They will remain in the first place until the end of the season unless Paul George and other starter suffers any injury.

The King still has a lot of gas in his tank. Cavs are the second in East With LeBron James and Drummond duo leading this high pace team. Cavs leads the team in rebound but plays careless with the ball as they are the worst team in turnovers. Turnovers are not enough to slow them down if they shoot better than the opponent though. Cavs will finish first in the end passing by the division rival Bucks.

Bucks is a good example of very good management. They were able to bring in a lot of amazing assets by trading "solid" players for future picks. And now they are leader in the East conference and a supposed to be around this position for a long time. As you can see they still have a lot of young talents and picks to work on. Bucks will finish second just after the Cavs but i think they have enough to get the title.

Memphis is the biggest surprise of the season and with the help of the biggest gitch player of all time in NLL (yes he is better the Gerald Green), Papagiannis. The guy is 8th best player in the league and he does everything. however we all know height counts as 37% of all NLL top 100 are 6'11s or higher. Memphis will finish 5th in the West making the Playoff returning to the West elite remembering Chris Bosh days.

Knicks are kind of disappointing this season. We all know the potential of Harden, Irving and Howard trio but something is missing in this team to be perfect. Zach Randolph is struggling bad this year and his salary could turn out in a some good young players to fresh things up. Knicks will finish 5th in the East.

After some good trades Denver is looking way better in last few week.Kanter and Wall are scoring in tones and it was just a time to find the right direction. All they need now is some help off the bench, maybe trading DWade and turning him into 2-3 solid players would do the job. Denver will have a nice climb in standings. They will steal Sacramento's 6th position.

San Antonio had the patience enough to rebuild and build around Anthony Davis even with all the injuries. They also had the smart choice to bring the big man Embiid from Orlando. They are now NLL champions, with all but patience. They can finish second in the West if nothing tragic happens with the two towers duo.

Nets are having a very disappointing season and with DeAndre Jordan "rare" injury they got a bit worse in last week. They have a amazing core though. DeMarr DeRozan, Bledsoe and Taj Gibson are good names. They just don't have the mojo. Or the right 7'0 footer. Brooklyn will finish the season better in 7th position.

Everybody is talking about Laddas trade frenzy but gm Jmac is not so far from it. 13 players already traded away from Boston. All to avoid the dependency of Kevin Durant. But in vain. Boston lost 3 games last week without him and are yet far from East Conference top 2 teams. If Durant remains healthy Boston will finish third in the East Conference just one or two games ahead the Hornets.

Phoenix is yet again in the same place of last two years. Not good enough to be a Playoff team and not bad enough to have a chance in the draft. Maybe it's time to move some pieces like... Kemba Walker? Oh yes they don't have their own pick so, it's better keep fighting. Phoenix still have some chance to fight for the 8th position and with some hope Hayward can return this season.

Dallas is heading down since the start of the season. With Lonzo and Milsap down their situation can get a bit worse. They is yet to have a competitive team and will have to wait the development of Lonzo Ball and others. They still can stop fighting and start tanking for get better chance in the draft and this decision must be taken as soon as possible. Dallas will choose to tank and finish in 12th place. They are not as bad as Portland and others.

Direction. It's all Detroit needed in the last couple years. They trade for picks and then few months later they trade these picks away. They draft a young prospect and then trade away the drafted players for players in a chance to win games. And then trade away again for young players. They don't know what to do. Are they looking for "winning now" or are they going to build around young assets for two years and it's hurting the team. Are they settle now? How long can they stay with the assets they have? This year they have their pick but what will they do without their own picks in the upcoming two years? Detroit will sadly finish last in the conference.

Sometimes it's too much. The picks collectors Clippers is the youngest team in the league with average 21 years old. Sometimes to get some wins we need to find the middle point between the youth and experience. But in this weird season Clippers invested on the wrong side of the court as guards are not as good as the bigs. hopefully it changes next season and then the Clippers can be a top team in the West as they expect to be. Clippers will finish a little better and they can actually make the Playoffs with some luck.

Wizards is another team without their own pick this year. Traded away back in Carmelo Anthony for Hayward and Isaiah Thomas trade this pick sits in Houston's hands until these days. However Darko learned from his mistake and is hold as much future assets as possible to bring the Wizards back to the top. We all hope he has enough patience to develop all these talents in hands. "Good pickup" someone said last season when GSW traded their first round pick for Shabazz Muhammad...It's not the only time GSW can't hold their fingers on trade first round picks for "Solid"(or not even proved) players. Same happened in 2016 (Marcus Smart for what became Jammal Murray),2017's Donovan Mitchell traded for Nicolas Batum, 2018 as i said, 2019... for the veteran Iguodala and 2020 for Josh Hart?!?What is wrong with some fun in NLL Draft? Golden State will finish last and we hope for them to find a way out of this.
