NLL Mock Draft v4.0 - 29th of June

Welp, the GM's have a been a lot more tight-lipped for this incarnation of the mock draft. So there is a lot of guess-work here. But there has been a lot of picks shifted around and some new information, so hopefully this is as enlightening.*

*Disclaimer: I have no fucking idea who is going where! I thought maybe once the NBA draft was concluded we'd have some sort of surety on the NLL order. But nope, the NBA draft was one crazy ride. NLL can be expected to be just as crazy. Should be fun!

So here's my latest mock, warts and all, on the eve of one of our favourite anniversaries here at NLL - draft day. Thanks to Pennywise for his assistance. (i definitely needed it!)

1	Boston	C, SG	Victor Oladipo 6'4" 213 lbs SG	The sixers have not yet fully decided what they will do with this pick. They may trade it, they may not. If they keep it, you can expect them to tackle need. With Nerlens Noel falling to #6 in the NBA draft, there is even less surety about who the #1 will be in NLL. There has been noise that the 76ers are high on Bennett, but don't believe it. They don't need a PF. They need a SG or a C. And with their center need potentially being addressed in a separate trade, expect them to tackle their SG need. Still, this pick could go in either direction, and it seems that the pivotal point of the draft will start from the very first pick, which i don't think i've ever seen before in my life. Other options here are Alex Len and Ben McLemore, barring any trades (which is entirely possible).
2	Utah	Everything	Otto Porter 6'9" 198 lbs. SF	Hi folks. My name is nick, and i'll be your mock draft host tonight. Wait a second, i have no clue who the hell Utah will pick. Sorry, folks. I'll be leaving. Good luck projecting the draft. You'll need it. Seriously though, Utah could go in any direction. I think he is high on Oladipo, McLemore, and Porter. But Bennett may be an option here too now that he was #1 in the NBA. Also, how far will people let Nerlens slide? I really don't know. And neither do you. Enjoy. We've gone with Porter here for a variety of reasons, none of which are worth mentioning. Next.
3	Charlotte	PG, leadership, depth	Ben McLemore 6'5" 189 lbs PG	Charlotte is picking for someone else. We believe that someone else will select B-mac. Don't be surprised if it's all one big smokescreen and they go and draft someone totally unexpected like Zeller or McCollum though.
4	Minnesota	C, SG	Alex Len 7'1" 255 lbs C	We believe Minny will go with Len or Bennett, depending who's available. In this scenario, Minny get their target.
5	Utah	Anything	Nerlens Noel 7'0" 206 lbs C	OKC has agreed to pick for Utah here. Utah could be rubbing their hands together if Nerlens falls to them. Anthony Bennett is another option here. It's anyone's guess.
6	Washington	PG, assets	Anthony Bennett 6'7" 239 lbs PF/SF	Given the Wizards' needs, you'd think that Trey Burke would be their guy here. However they are apparently priotizing drafting the best talent available over team need. And sources say that if given the choice between Bennett and Burke, they go with Bennett.
7	Minnesota	Go-to guy, PG	Michael Carter-Williams 6'6" 184 lbs PG	If Len, Bennett and McLemore are off the board, then MIN addresses their PG need. Sources say they are not that high on Trey Burke, and would choose MCW over him if given the choice. McCollum is another option here.
8	Chicago	PF, depth	Trey Burke 6'1" 187 lbs PG	Chicago is said to be "looking at guards". If you believe that, then Bulls stop Burke from falling any further. If you believe it's a smokescreen and he actually addresses his PF need, then Zeller is their guy. CJ is another possibility.
9	Atlanta	SG, PF	Kentavious Caldwell-Pope 6'6" 204 lbs SG	Atlanta are pushing hard to trade down so this is a hard pick to project. For this scenario let's assume he keeps the pick. Atlanta are targetting a SG so KCP is most likely here. CJ is an option if they believe he can play full-time SG minutes. Zeller is a dark horse if the pick gets traded or if ATL determine PF as a need.
10	Denver	PG, depth	CJ McCollum 6'3" 197 lbs PG/SG	I'll think about Zeller but would go with CJ based on my team needs. Don't know if CJ can handle full-time PG, but there's only one way to find out.
11	INDIANA!!!	SG, SF, depth	Lucas Nogueira 7'0" 220 lbs C	Shabazz makes more sense for their team needs but their brazillian brother is their guy. Sheed befriended me on facebook the other day. Every single one of his status updates is about Lucas Nogueira.
12	Sacramento	C, depth	Cody Zeller 7'0" 230 lbs PF/C	Sac-town don't have any glaring needs, apart from maybe center. Regardless, no way SAC lets Zeller slip any further. An absolute steal to get the #4 pick in the NBA draft at #12 in NLL.
13	Oklahoma City	Anything, assets	Shabazz Muhammad 6'6" 222 lbs SF	Ben has made his mark on his roster already by making various moves already. The shakeup has resulted in 2 late lottery picks and a glutton of early 2nds. The current roster is still in its infancy stage and OKC will feel free to ignore positional needs and take whoever they deem to be the best talent available. Sources say the Thunder are high on Schroeder, and Bazz seems to have found his ideal fit in the NBA.
14	Oklahoma City	Anything, assets	Dennis Schroeder 5' 11" 175 lbs PG	See above.
15	Philadelphia	C	Steven Adams 7'0" 255 lbs C	Sources say that the sixers may have traded this pick, which makes this prediction a little tricky. If sixers keep it, they will address whichever need they didn't address with their #1 pick (out of SG and C). If they do trade the pick, the other team probably wont let Adams slip anyway.

16	Milwaukee	none	Giannis Adetokunbo 6'9" 196 lbs SF	The Bucks are rumoured to be packing some of their picks to go into the top 10 (i'm gonna guess ATL is their trade partner). But until that actually happens, we will have to assume they will have this pick. They have no glaring needs and will go for one frontcourt player, one backcourt player, and one eurostash player.
17	New Orleans	SG/SF	Sergey Karasev 6'7" 197 lbs SF	This is all guessing games here, but the Pelicans need some help on the wing. Karasev is best talent avail at SF. They would probably take Giannis if Milwaukee doesn't.
18	Boston	C, PF, bench depth	Kelly Olynyk 7'0" 234 lbs C	The Celts have some holes in the frontline, so we can guess that they might go big. If they want offense they go with Olynyk, if they want defense they go with Dieng. They might go Olynyk based on NBA draft order.
19	Denver	C, depth	Gorgui Dieng 6'11" 230 lbs C	I could go in a few different directions here. It depends on who i take at #10 and who's available. I need depth in general, but with Dalembert likely on his way out, and the uncertainty surrounding Dwight, it might serve me to go big. Dieng + MKG would be a nice defensive combo.
20	Milwaukee	none	Shane Larkin 5'11" 171 lbs PG	Bucks will go best player available here. That's Larkin. He may be small but he's skilled.
21	Milwaukee	none	Rudy Gobert 7'2" 238 lbs C	Most of Milwaukee's targets slipped in the NBA draft.
22	Indiana	SF/SG	Reggie Bullock 6'7" 200 lbs SF	Pacers need some help on the wing. My guess is that they address that with this pick.
23	Milwaukee	none	Livio Jean-Charles 6'9" 217 lbs SF/PF	The evil empire is being a mid-late 1st rounder hog, even though none of his guys are here. This could be the Buck's eurostash guy
24	Dallas	depth	Mason Plumlee 7'0" 238 lbs C	The Mavs are doing okay on the perimeter. They may look for post help, or maybe a backup PG.
25	Philadelphia	LOL "needs"	Tony Snell 6'7"; 198 lbs. SF	Sixers are the most stacked roster in the league, they literally have no holes that need filling. They will obviously go for best talent here. I don't know who they're targetting though.
26	LA Lakers	SG, C	Tim Hardaway Jr. 6'5" 189 lbs SG	The Lakers will go for a SG or C here, although will go best talent if someone slips to them.
27	Golden State	lots	Archie Goodwin 6'5" 189 lbs. SG	Golden State have a lot of holes. I would venture the guess that they'll draft best talent, whoever they deem t hat to be.
28	Atlanta	C	Jeff Withey 7'0" 222 lbs C	Atlanta will go for a post player here.
29	Cleveland	Depth	Allen Crabbe 6'6" 197 lbs SG	Sources say Cleveland will pick the highest rated SG here.
30	Portland	depth	Solomon Hill 6'7" 226 lbs SF	Don't know who they'll pick. Their starting 5 looks alright, maybe they'll just go for bench depth.
