The votes are in and final, and here we announce the Players of the Month
and Rookies of the Month for the month of November!
East
POTW – Karl-Anthony Towns
The Bucks have come out steaming this season and the man that has lead
them is the 22 year old big man, Karl-Anthony Towns. Through November he
powered them to win after win on the back of 26.7 points, 11.8 rebounds, 1.5
assists, 2.1 steals and 1.3 blocks on 62% shooting, 60% from deep and 88% from
the line, with less than a turnover per game. The kid is becoming a man, and he’s
taking the team for his own!
West POTW
– Anthony Davis
Is there little surprise? The main man in the defending champs squad
poured in 31.5 points, 11.1 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 1.6 steals and 1.9 blocks on
59% shooting in the 1st month of the season and with sporadic misses
from some of the other Spurs champ squad, he was a mainstay. The Brow might
have some trouble taking next month, with the possibility of missed games
coming up, but he’s a near lock here again if he doesn’t miss!
West
ROTW – Lonzo Ball
The Mavs were a bit of a surprise to start the season and it’s in no
small part because of the work of their prized rookie PG, Lonzo Ball. He earns
Rookie of the Month for November behind averages of 15.5 points, 3.2 rebounds,
9 asissts and 1.4 steals on 48% shooting, 42% from deep. Only an efficiency dip
will see him struggle this season you’d think with the reins and game time handed
to the kid all season long!
East
ROTW – Ben Simmons
The
Pistons believe in the Ben as their forever PG as evidenced by the trading of
Fox this past week, and with numbers of 16.8 points, 5.8 rebounds, 6.9 assists,
1.3 steals and 1 block on 50% shooting, it’s hard to not agree! He’s a 6’10 PG
which will cause havoc his entire career you’d imagine and he can well and
truly match it at the position. The Pistons might not be going places this year
just yet, but they will be in the coming years behind Ben.
Congratulations to the
winners in November and may the odds be forever in your favour!
