NLL Insider - Overtime Heroics in Game 2

by KLEMMELO, updated on Saturday, May 20 2017, 03:06 pm EST

What was I saying about story lines within this series?! Woooow… What. A. Game. Double overtime, balls to the wall, shot after shot made right to the line and then one of the most clutch shots made in Sixers history.... JJ Redick was acquired mid season for some experience and spacing to help the Sixers when it mattered most and has seen his number called. This is why they brought him here...

With 17 seconds left Drummond attacks the paint and gets smartly sent to the line by Gobert, misses the first (Not that it matters) and hits the second as it dribbles into the basket to tie it up. Now it’s Dame time, Mister big shot. The guy dropped 48 points, 15 assists, 5 rebounds and three steals in 48 minutes… He made the same amount of free throws as the entire Cavs squad. It was his time to make his move leading this team without Kawhi to a second victory at home to silence all the doubters and take a commanding lead in the series… He waives off the D out on an island alone with MCW and gets a late screen by Gobert... Drives hard right and the Cavs sag and instantly trap him on the wing... Redick fakes for the baseline and gets his space… Dame 30 feet from the basket, bodies closing in on him sees the sniper and launches a perfect pocket pass while falling out of bounds. Redick catches. Turns. Hand in his face and goes BAAAAAAAANG!

The rest is etched in Sixers history and could very well be the turning point and play of the series that fans will remember for ever.
