DETROIT- The NLL announced today that two GMs will not be continuing with their teams next season. Both Royal of the Detroit Pistons and Magritte of the Oklahoma City Thunder received the pink slip early this morning.

Despite the fact that neither did made the playoffs this season, both of the GMs expressed surprised when the shake-ups were announced.

The Pistons finished 11th in the Eastern Conference, turning in an underwhelming record of 35-47. Critics of the GM felt he didn't put enough time into the team, barely even showing up to games, losing 6 kick-out points on the season. The GM also flummoxed many in the league by waiting until the last moment to do his news, even writing two news on the same day to avoid an early dismissal.

The Thunder finished 13th in the Western Conference with a 24-58 record. GM Magritte has long been a fan favorite, but in the past year turned into somewhat of a pariah in OKC. Once an active participant in league activities, the GM stopped taking part in most of his required duties, even hiring others to forge team reports. His attitude toward the league also became more and more negative, and often complained about being bored and how things used to be more fun.

The NLL released a brief statement about the firings: "We made some very tough decisions, but we ultimately think this will be good for the league."

No one has commented from either team about the direction they will go in next.
