Carmelo Anthony of the Dallas Mavericks has been voted the NLL's Most Valuable Player. In a landslide victory, Melo scored 79 points, as well as 13 first place votes to crush runners-up Kevin Durant of the Toronto Raptors and Manu Ginobili of the Philadelphia 76ers, who were tied for 2nd place.

Melo led the Mavericks on a mid-season tear, helping them clinch the Western Conference before falling prey to the Los Angeles Lakers in the Semi-Finals. He averaged 27.7ppg on 49% shooting. Melo's contract is up but it is likely GM Smokey will do whatever it takes to keep his star in town, despite the heartbreaking loss in Game 7 after being up three games to one. Congrats to Melo and the Dallas Mavericks.
