Week 8 Injury Watch - KD, Luka, AD, Simmons out!

TEAM INJURIES
Atlanta Hawks T.J. Warren (Foot), Spencer Dinwiddie (Knee), Gary Harris (Thigh), Danuel House (Knee),

The same 4 players as last week.  Warren's been out all season as has Dinwiddie, both of which would likely start for these Hawks.  Gary Harris is also a big blow.  Team depth continues to be shown though with an 8-2 W/L over the past 10.
Brooklyn Nets Caris LeVert (Kidney), Jahlil Okafor (Knee), Glenn Robinson III (Waived in NBA), Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot (Knee), Zeke Nnaji (Illness),

The main topic here is Caris LeVert and maybe Okafor.  Both of which have been gone most of the season. Much like the Hawks though, this team is deep and continues to roll on regardless.
Boston Celtics George Hill (Thumb), James Ennis (Calf),

The Celtics are still without Hill and Ennis but the news here is they get three big IN's this week with the return of PG13, Gibson and 2-Pat.  Can George lead the C's back to +0.500?
Charlotte Hornets Harry Giles (Calf), Kristaps Porzingis (Knee),

Kristaps is out this week with Giles missing since week 4.  Some small consolation in Nwaba and Frank Jackson returning though.  These Hornets are a power squad though so expect them to keep on rolling on their winning ways.
Chicago Bulls DAngelo Russell (Leg), Devon Dotson (Knee), Donta Hall (Waived in NBA), Taurean Prince (Shoulder),

Prince tweaked his shoulder and will sit out.  The main out though is DLo since week 3 and the Bulls are missing him a bunch.
Cleveland Cavaliers Jay Scrubb (Foot), Kris Dunn (Ankle), Zach Collins (Ankle), Jaren Jackson Jnr (Knee), Aaron Gordon (Ankle),

Same out as last week with alot of big man talent on the pine in Gordon, Jackson Jr and Collins.  Cavs are really struggling to cover this lack of big man depth.
Dallas Mavericks Chimezie Metu (Wrist), DeMar DeRozan (Personal),

Mavs get Otto Porter back but lose DeRozan for personal reasons, so he should be back next week.  They may struggle this week though as he has been pouring in 27 points per game.
Denver Nuggets Jonathan Isaac (Knee), Udoka Azubuike (Ankle), Darius Bazley (Shoulder),

Millsap returns but Isaac remains sidelined with a knee.  This team is wallowing much lower than many had expected and not much looks to change this week.
Detroit Pistons Klay Thompson (Knee), Cole Anthony (Shoulder),
Golden State Warriors JaMychal Green (Shoulder), Edrice Adebayo (Knee), Grant Riller (Ankle),

Bam and JaMychal both still sidelined hurting the Dubs big man depth.
Houston Rockets JJ Redick (Heel), Tim Frazier (Waived in NBA),

Jeff Green is back but Redick still on his heels.  Rockets hanging in at 0.500, as long as the Joker stays healthy they are a playoff team.
Indiana Pacers C.J. McCollum (), Luka Doncic (Back), P.J. Tucker (Not with team),

Doncic and CJ out and now PJ Tucker.  That's 3 starters!  Can Hayward carry the load or will someone say Indiana soon?
LA Clippers OG Anunoby (Illness), Rodions Kurucs (Oblique), Marc Gasol (Illness), Victor Oladipo (Rest),

The red hot Clips get Capela back but Oladipo joins Gasol and others on the IR.  Doesn't seem to matter though as this team keeps on steam rolling opposition by 20+ points per game.
LA Lakers Christian Wood (Ankle), Darius Garland (Groin), Kostas Antetokounmpo (Illness),

Lakers new recruit Wood continues to ride the pine as they lose Garland this week as well, but they do get back Zeller, Parker and rookie Vassell.  This team is slowly on the rise but it would be nice to see Wood and Wiseman paired together at some point this season.
Memphis Grizzlies Austin Rivers (Personal),

Marcus Smart and Grayson Allen return with Rivers still sitting out.  The Griz are -0.500 but hang out to 7th in the weak West.
Miami Heat Jordan Nwora (Ankle), Shaquille Harrison (Waived in NBA), Malik Beasley (Suspended),

Oubre and Wright return which should give the team a shot in the arm on the wings.  The continued loss of Beasley to an untimely suspension is a big one though as he was carrying this team in scoring.
Milwaukee Bucks Killian Hayes (Hip), Romeo Langford (Wrist), Jusuf Nurkic (Wrist),

The powerhouse Bucks' IR stays the same this week with Hayes, Langford and Nurkic still out.  Doesn't really matter when you have Giannis though.
Minnesota Timberwolves Avery Bradley (Illness), Cam Reddish (Achilles), Malachi Flynn (Illness), Jordan McLaughlin (Illness), Tyrell Terry (Illness),

Some big In's for the Wolves with Love, Nance Jr and Devonte Graham all returning this week.  They lose a couple of unknowns but look for a big boost with those big 3 coming back in.  They sure need it wallowing at 2-23!
New Orleans Pelicans Eric Gordon (Knee), John Wall (Knee), Jarrett Culver (Toe),

The Pels get back the CaruSHOW, Kornet and some euro guy.  But out goes leading scorer and team John Wall with a knee.
New York Knicks Andre Drummond (Personal),

Quinn Cook returns but Andre continues to sit with personal reasons.
Oklahoma City Thunder Marquese Chriss (Leg), Hassan Whiteside (Illness), Josh Hall (),

LBJ is back as is Draymond Green.  Whiteside still out ill.  With LBJ returning look to the Thunder to continue to roll along winning by even more points per game.
Orlando Magic Thomas Bryant (Knee), Blake Griffin (Personal),

White and rookie Haliburton return to give the team a boost.  The big out is still Blake Griffin though.  No magic in Orlando this season.
Philadelphia 76ers Derrick Rose (Illness),

Sixers get back Zion and Gay with Rose still out ill.  The return of Zion is huge and this team just gets scarier.
Phoenix Suns Kevin Durant (Illness), DeMarcus Cousins (Waived in NBA), R.J. Hampton (Illness), Robert Woodard II (Hamstring),

Markkanen is back but will KD ever play this season?  Boogie also continues in no mans land without a contract.  The Suns are on a bit of slide and this may continue as long as Durant sits.
Portland Trail Blazers Anzejs Pasecniks (Waived in NBA), DeÁndre Hunter (Knee), Daniel Oturu (Quad), Hamidou Diallo (Groin),

No change here with a bunch of no names and Hunter still sitting.  Wiggins and Ayton carrying the load for this team as they fight for the 8th seed.
San Antonio Spurs Anthony Davis (Calf), Fred VanVleet (Illness), Terrence Ross (Knee),

Josh Jackson is back but AD and Fred still out. Spurs are sliding at 1-9 for past 10 and with no Davis this will likely continue.
Sacramento Kings Ishmael Smith (Quad), Cameron Johnson (Illness),

Nothing new here.  Kings still suck.
Toronto Raptors Jordan Bell (Waived in NBA), Mitchell Robinson (Hand), LaMarcus Aldridge (Illness),

LMA out, Raps continue to struggle.
Utah Jazz Markelle Fultz (Knee), Pascal Siakam (Illness), Trent Forrest (Illness),

Siakam and Fultz are big outs, well Siakam is.  Jazz are sliding at 3-7 for past 10.
Washington Wizards Evan Fournier (Groin), Ben Simmons (Illness), Jared Dudley (Illness),

Simmons out this week.  Big loss for the Wiz.  He should be back soon though.
