FA recap - welcome back Ian

We want to look back at the free agency for our Golden State Warriors.
It´s all about welcoming back old faces.

The main goals for GM Mailo were holding the restricted free agends Muhammad and Lauvergne.
And finding a SG to replace Batum during the time he is out with his elbow injury.

Muhammad decided to stay here, so this wasn´t a big thing.
Lauvergne wanted to try free agency and signed an Offer sheet of the Houston Rockets.
But he was a restricted free agent and with no additional costs Mailo was able to match the offer of Houston and bring Joffrey back.

Then there was a more exciting part of free agency.
Mailo talked to several players.
We heared about talks with Tony Allen, Pat Connaughton, Raymond Felton, David Nwaba and Daniel Theis.
But no one of this was very intense.
Mailo was very interested in bringing Jodie Meeks or Jameer Nelson to Golden State.
There was several meeting but both players decided to go to other teams
Ian Clark was the next goal for Mailo.
He is well known here and had a good time here. So Mailo and Clark had a nice talk and Clark decided to come back here and is very happy about it.

This week also two players signed a two-way player contract with the Warriors.
Marcus Paige and Demetrius Jackson, both was drafted by Mailo in the 2nd round over the last years.
We will see if they will get a chance to play this season, or maybe even to get a full contract.
There are little rumors about some trade talks right now, but nothing specific.
So the roster is set for now to start the 2017/18  season.

Next time we will break down our roster for the new season.

The new season will come soon...so get excited Warriors fans!
