Final Additions.

Sacramento is Melo's town now. Heading into his third week wearing the royal purple Carmelo Anthony has not slowed down in the slightest; If anything he's gearing up to take it to another level. Forced into playing out of position as a smaller power forward from the get go he responded, leading the Kings to an undefeated week while taking out player of the week honours. So far his numbers have stayed consistent since his transition from Washington but has impressively found his shot again shooting 41% from three on two makes a game. The expectation to be able to score in an ISO orientated offence isn't the priority as much in this Kings system and it seems that there's more chance for him to move off the ball.

Week two and the Kings were brutally brought back down to reality... A couple of crushing loses at home against the likes of the Spurs and the Hornets along with a hard fought battle on the road against Golden State saw them go 1-3. Making it painfully obvious that Melo at the power forward spot was only short term and so the GM searched for an answer. The first of a series of moves saw Marcus Morris on his way out for Question mark Jared Sullinger and some youth... That quickly went south and the Kings were limited but still desperate to make a move. Tyson Chandler had been one of the best acquisitions all year for the Kings and was making a late case for any defensive player of the year type conversations. It was obviously a tough move to make but the Kings made the decision to bring in James Johnson and Taj Gibson while sending Chandler to the Wolves. It would seem that the Kings right now are confident in the abilities of Boban to play some solid minutes with production at least close to what Chandler was doing. The rest of the time at Centre would be covered by a versatile Gibson and Savy veteran Nick Collison.

They've taken the long way round but it would seem the Kings roster is looking as complete as it has all season. At least you would hope so in the eyes of the guy with his finger hard on the trigger since day one.
