#2 sent for JJJ and Picks

We are happy to announce that we will be bringing in Jaren Jackson Jr along with the 2022 Cavaliers 1^st round pick, 2022 Utah 1^st and 2022 Golden State 2^nd round pick in exchange for Juan Hernangomez and the #2 overall pick. This was a very tough decision for us to make, but it is one we feel is best for our franchise. The #2 pick could provide us with a star player, but we feel like Jackson Jr could also be that for us. Not only do we get him though, we also get 2 1^st round picks in next draft and an early 2nd. This is a lot about value for us, get a great player in Jaren Jackson Jr while adding more picks to our arsenal. We took into account the big man situation we currently have too, Bamba has played well for us, but has not been as successful in the NBA which can be worrisome. We’ve seen 2k glitch players like Thon Maker who ended up not being able to play even though he was great in the NLL since he was out of the NBA. It is a safe move to make for our future in the post, but we also bring in the assets to be able to make trades here in the future as we now have 3 1^st round picks in the 2022 Draft. We had debated trading down to 3 to get Mobley to help out the frontcourt too, but this way is much more value. We will be missing out on getting Cade/Green there at 2, but there is no guarantee that the pick will pan out, even if they have both looked good in Summer League. We feel confident in Jaren Jackson as our starting center of the future, we love his game, he is the type of big man you want nowadays. His shooting will really help us out and we think he could take a step up this year after an injury kept him out for a lot of last season. This trade is set with both teams agreeing to keep this same trade no matter what happens between now and when trading opens.
