Jayson Tatum Q&A

Today we caught up with Rookie sensation Jayson Tatum.

Q: Jason, How are you ?

JT: Good Thanks. You?

Q: Good. How does it feel to get the most votes of any rookie or sophomore in the USA team?

JT: It is an Honour. I am humbled. I am also super excited that some of my other team mates will be playing in the game too. Itâ€™s a great sign for the Grizz. We are developing well.

Q: You are only 19 years old correct?

JT: Yes

Q: Who are you looking up to at Memphis?

JT: Bazemore. His hustle is amazing. He plays great D, and I want to be the best defender in the league so thatâ€™s my goal atm. Plus Kent has a really good-looking wife. She is nice too I guess, but I am all about ascetics. So Id like to be Kent, but obviously much much better at basketball.

Q: Some interesting words there Jayson, you know we are on the record, right?

JT: Yes. I Know.

Q: Tell us what you are hoping to get from All Star Weekend?

JT: Just being around the best players in the world for a few days in a row is going to be amazing. I want to be a sponge, just soak everything in. Also, Iâ€™m looking forward to a bit of rest as well. I am desperate to make the playoffs this years so canâ€™t wait to refresh my body and recharge the batteries and have a big second half of the season.

Q: Thatâ€™s great Jayson. Sounds like you have a great weekend ahead of you and good luck in the rookie game, the next part of the season and good luck for your entire career. The whole of Memphis is behind you and we cant wait to see your career develop.
