Putting in the Miles

With the playoffs getting down to the business end and the season coming close a wrap, a team in Portlands position cant afford the luxury of taking time off. Its all hands on deck at the moment and will continue this throughout the entirety of the post season. That includes both the front office working on potential deals or moving pieces around for the draft and the coaching staff and players working on improving their game as a team.

Its good to see the backbone of the team really sticking together and trying to drag the rest of the team along. Its the usual suspects in that regard. Jaylen Brown, Larry Nance Jnr and Terry Rozier are the main dictators in the “ain't no off-season” movement. Which was a quote from Brown when asked what he had planned over the break. Internet sensation and body builder Kali Muscle has jumped on board to beef up a few of the young bloods.
Its seems there is no shortage of work ethic and motivation around the team, just a lack of talent.

A big surprise in this movement has been newly acquired Miles Plumee. Who everyone with a keyboard or a phone seems to think he is an overpaid waste of space. Which seems harsh, but in reality might be very true. But he seems to be proving his worth since the season end. The coach has said that “Miles has been running the show since the post season began”. He has been organising training sessions, social gatherings and he is also a licensed marriage celebrant, which he put to good use when he recently officiated the wedding of Lance Thomas, to his third wife. There are rumors that he is doing maintenance work around the stadium as well. “people laugh at his contract, but he has been working harder for the organisation than the illegal immigrants that look after my yard. money well spent if you ask me” stated the assistant coach.

Maybe all this hard work and brown nosing has earned Plumlee some playing time in the upcoming season, but with no incentive to tank I cant see why he be entering a game any time soon.
