WHAT NEXT FOR THE MAGIC?

with the NLL playoff’s still in progress it has been a very quiet time for the Orlando Magic and their new GM Smokey. real life struggles combined with NLL basketball continue to be a massive juggling act for the GM.

The team itself looks to be in a very bad position, but under the guidance of Veteran GM Smokey they hope to right the ship sooner rather than later. Heading into the Draft Lottery the team had their sights set high on a top two pick but sometimes things just don’t fall your way.

“we have always seen the top two in this draft as perfect additions for a franchise who are building for the future.” Smokey said. “In saying that though, we have a keen eye on the next four prospects who we feel can become amazing players in the NLL world.”

As the balls fell, the Magic were eventually called out at the #5 pick. Fans were horrified “We are doomed for so much longer.” One fan said.

But an upbeat Smokey had a different view. “We are thrilled. We have eyes on a few guys, but we are also now in a position to potentially work the phones which is where I feel my strengths lie when it comes to building a team.” Smokey said.

Moving on from here, there will be some big changes to the Magic roster moving forward, whether it is through the draft or trading expect the unexpected from them.

They have some nice young pieces on their team, and they also have some trading pieces that might get them a bit of a return to push the team in the right direction.

Whatever happens from here, the team is in good hand with a GM who is calculated in his moves, and has grown to have the patience to build the team the right way..
