Lotto Bummer

Well, today was lottery day in the NLL and Utah came in with the 6th best odds at first overall. But unfortunately after 3 different teams jumped inot the top 4, Utah fell back 2 spots and will be selecting 8th overall. Toronto, Mem and chi all jumped up into the top 4 with Sac staying put and landing the prize rights to Cade Cunningham. However not all is lost. Utah had hopes to jump to first overall and draft cade as the team needs a starting caliber wing. But landing back at 8th could get them someone with equal, or even better talent. Names like Kuminga and Jalen Johnson come to mind when it comes to fit and talent. Then theres also the 15th overall pick which the team get from Denver in the MalCom Brogdon trade back at the trade deadline. Names like Cam Thomas, Chris Duarte, Mooses Moody and also Jalen Johnson float around at that pick. But Utah mayn not even keep one pick let alone both. It’s been known for awhile Jazz GM MichaelVilla86 has been looking to move the 15th overall pick in hopes of somehow getting back into the top ten. But now with the Jazz landing 8th overall, don’t be surprised if that pick is packaged with 15th overall or other assets to get a talented wing in the hopes of making a deep playoff run. According to sources, teams have already started calling the Jazz about both picks in hopes of moving up in the draft or add theres picks into a trade of their own doing. Theres also teams that would like to move down also, trying to target a specific player they believe will fall or not happy with were this pick is. Either way. Expect the phone lines to be very, very busy up to the moment the next Utah Jazz player is announced and drafted to the team.
