Help me Markelle Fultz...

...you're my only hope!

The Atlanta Hawks have gone 5-3 in the last 2 weeks much to the delight of GM bandrsn10. They are far from a finished product, however. While they rattled off 2 wins against top 10 rated teams, they also got man-handled by top teams like the Thunder and the Cavs. This just shows that while the club is outperforming many expectations, they are still a ways away from contending.

All hope is not lost though! For a brief period of time this week, the Hawks occupied the 8th playoff spot in the East with a record of 12-12. The loss to Miami quickly reverted the team back to the 9th spot. Those were two big milestones for this team and the GM feels that those will be great motivators for the team. The coaching staff has experimented with some lineups while dealing with various injuries and has liked what they saw. The biggest factor, which has been the storyline for most of the season, is injuried. Next week, the team will be without Allen Crabbe again but will be getting Justin Jackson back from the G league. There is some other good news though as Markelle Fultz is a couple of weeks away from being evaluated again. The training staff has informed us that he's pain free so the club is optimistic that he will play around the New Year. Another nice surprise is that of Justin Patton. The team's other injured first round pick has begun playing in the G league and has looked impressive. The Hawks hope he will join the team soon and begin to make an impact on the bench.

Week 7 presents some exciting challenges for the team and they hope to claw their way back into the playoffs in the slugfest that is the East.
