Week 1 Match-up’s

Finally the season has come again, and like seasons past LA Clippers are expecting a new brand of basketball one that they are hoping see them climb the ladder, will it be easy? No but there is a renewed energy and a tremendous expectation to shake off the stigma of cellar dweller

Week one hasn’t been kind to us with some extremely tough battles, however in saying that a team that finished with the worst possible record in season 16/17 can expect an uphill battle between weeks 1 - 20

Denver Nuggets pose significant problems for the young Clippers team, led by the rampaging point guard John Wall it will take an almighty effort from the Clippers with a lot relying on defensive effort. With projected starter Michael Kidd Gilchrist and key reserve Tristan Thompson both shelved for week 1 it will be an uphill battle to start the season

Key to this game will stopping John Wall and limiting Enes Kanter touches on the offensive side of the ball easier said than done

Chicago Bulls and three point bombers Steph Curry and Klay Thompson partnership come to town, not an easy task at all trying to stop the 3 point barrage if the D can hold up we may stand a chance. If however it starts raining three’s it’s going to be a long long weekend in LA

San Antonio Spurs are one of those team you see on schedule and put a red line through as an ah-well it was bound to come up sooner or later game. With Anthony Davis and Joel Embiid the two headed hydra this one won’t be fun as the clippers simply look for growth from the team and a strong effort on both sides of the ball

Phoenix Suns led by GM penny have a very tough team even without the latest addition of Gordon Hayward this will be a battle royale. The baby clips will need play very well in order to stop Kemba Walker and Al Horford dynamic duo if they stand any chance of stealing a win in this one
