The End is Here !

So this is it. The end of the NLL regular season and the end of GM Dunne’s second year at the helm. What can we take from season 2016/17. “Personally, I think there is a lot to take from this season. I think we have uncovered the core of a playoff team in years to come. Look at Dante Exum, Marquese Chriss and Georgios Papagiannis. The thing that excites me about all 3 of them is that their NBA form got better as the season went on. All 3 had very solid NLL season, but to see there NBA form spike at the end of the year is a great sign for next season”

“Another exciting prospect is that we have ended up with 2 lottery picks in what is being touted as one of the best drafts ever for top end talent and depth. If we can land 2 more great pieces then we have the skeleton of a starting 5 for years to come. We plan on taking the best available talent at the top end of the draft as that looks like being guards. We’d love to add a talented back court player to team up with Dante, who we are pleased with his come back off the back of an ACL last season”

“As we know, we have Chris Bosh waiting in the wings, if he returns both party’s agree it is best to move him on as soon as possible. And if he doesn’t return and is bought out by the Heat in the NBA, we will have plenty of salary cap space to go after some big fish FA”
