Not so far away...

Half way of the season just passes by us. Pacers situation this season is quite dedicated, we are 16-30, the 6th worst record in the league. However Pacers is 4 wins away from playoffs. How is this possible? Do we have any chance to turn things around? Do we want to turn things around?
Since week 5 where Indiana traded half of the core Pacers only won 5 games until last week with the return of Black Griffin. Newcomers Harris and Lamb are scoring 20+ points per game and for some reason became a offensive upgrade for the struggling Jamal Crawford and Jeff Green. On point guard coach McMillan decided to play Delly over Cory Joseph for defensive reasons which seems to be working better.
Last week Pacers were able to beat Magic and Raptors but still struggling against over .500 teams. Thing is 60% of the league are under .500 which is creating a huge void between the good and bad teams in this league. Only Golden State Warriors are in between tier. With Jeremy Lamb return in starting lineup Pacers still can win some games and maybe have a chance.

A good thing on better record could help on Blake Griffin re-sign decision next season. Free Agency is out of gm Sheed plans for next season. He intends to keep this young core add 3 or 4 rookies next season. We had a very bad experience this year with Free Agency and we won't to repeat this for a long time. Playoffs could be fun, however we don't have any chance against superstar crowded Knicks, Bucks or Sixers. Well it would be fun to play against our rivals Sixers and Cavs.
Tanking seems to be the course our team is taking for now. Players like Lonzo Ball, Dennis Smith seems to be a good prize for this ugly season. Our position on 6th worst record is not helping, we will end up on SFs tier between 5-8th and this is not our plan to pick any Small Forward. So Indy are in a difficult situation where or they need to win more or lose more and hope for other to start winning which seems to be very hard, even for "not tanking" teams like Detroit or Miami.
So week 12 will be a answer. With Lamb back if we beat the sixers again and other 2 we'll work on something to start winning games. If not well.. Look out below
