Week 9 Injury Watch - Call a Medic Please!

TEAM INJURIES
Atlanta Hawks Josh McRoberts (Foot), Justise Winslow (Shoulder), Denzel Valentine (Ankle),
McRoberts is a regular rotation player who's floor spreading shooting will be missed as the Hawks continue to look for consistency especially in the light that any development plans that Management has for Winslow are on hold until next season as he recovers season ending shoulder surgery. Valentine's minor ankle sprain will only keep him out a week as management decides not to push the rookie unnecessarily.
Brooklyn Nets Khris Middleton (Hamstring), Tim Quarterman (CD),
Middleton is still recovering from his hamstring injury and has yet to take the floor yet this season. Presumably he is still a couple weeks away. In the meantime the Nets will continue to feed the Boogie Man down low. Tim Quarterman will continue to lead his team in bench warming minutes for another week.
Boston Celtics Alonzo Gee (CD), Derrick Jones Jr. (CD), Ryan Kelly (Personal), Patrick Patterson (Knee),
Patterson is the only significant injury here and is forcing the Celtics to juggle their lineup slightly. But it shouldn't slow them down much.
Charlotte Hornets Christian Wood (D-League), Willie Reed (Sternum),
The absence of Wood and Reed will be minimal but Porzingis is the real deal and while the Hornets are still trying to find there identity KP's absence further magnifies their thing backcourt even with presence of Dirk and Ingrams
Chicago Bulls Damian Jones (CD),
The Bulls are at full strength and Damion Jones who has played a full mind-blowing 28 minutes total on the entire season will continue to lead the "Not getting off the bench" brigade while the running of the Bulls continues without him.
Cleveland Cavaliers James McAdoo (CD),
The Cavs are injury free for the most part but not trouble free. Still lacking the dominance of years past. J. McAdoo's skills are best utilized in studying the physics involved in keeping the bench from flying into the stands as the rest of his teammates run out onto the court and handle the real work.
Dallas Mavericks Jerryd Bayless (Wrist), Nikola Mirotic (Illness),
The Mavs are in cruise control as they look to develop some younger talent. Mirotic is a fan favorite and a few season ticket holders may skip this weeks home games while Nikola deals with his mystery illness. Towel waiving has taken its toll on Bayless and he will miss a little more time while his writs heals.
Denver Nuggets Troy Williams (D-League), James Young (Ankle),
Williams and Young are riding the back of the bus and just enjoying the ride. As their absence will have no effect on the Nuggets' game plan. Next stop "The Rockies"
Detroit Pistons Brandan Wright (Ankle), Ben Simmons (Foot), Diamond Stone (CD),
Wright and Simmons have yet to make their debut this season so there absence isn't anything thats new at this juncture. Diamond Stone will continue to spend his time stenciling his name on the "Coaches Desk".
Golden State Warriors Quincy Pondexter (Knee), Rodney Stuckey (Hamstring), Stephen Zimmerman (CD), Jon Leuer (Knee), Rodney Stuckey (Hamstring),
Houston Rockets Bryn Forbes (D-League),
Forbes is playing like an all-star in the D-League but hasn't played a minute yet for the Rockets. So his impact at this stage is minimal.
Indiana Pacers Blake Griffin (Knee), Jeremy Lamb (Foot), Raul Neto (D-League),
Griffin's injury impact broke the richter scale and sent the Pacers into rebuild mode. Lamb's injury further weighs down the elevator while Neto is riding the "Greyhound" bus to games in the D-League
LA Clippers Festus Ezeli (Knee), Joel Bolomboy (CD), Clint Capela (Leg),
The Clippers are focused on developing their young talent so one injury or the other doesn't carry too much impact.
LA Lakers Archie Goodwin (Waived in NBA), Josh Huestis (CD),
Goodwin and Huestis are card carrying members of the Bench Warming Squad for the Lakers and won't be impacting the Lakeshow game plan in anyway.
Memphis Grizzlies Chris Bosh (Blood Clots), Michael Gbinije (CD), Georgios Papagiannis (CD), Darrell Arthur (Leg),
Ever since news came down about Bosh being out for the season the Grizzlies hav ebeen in pretty much development mode. As a couple young guys like GBinije and Papagiannis go into time out another young gun will step into the light and get a chance to show what they got.
Miami Heat JR Smith (Thumb), Kyle Wiltjer (CD),
With the cascade of injuries and poor play that the Heat have encountered they should be rebuilding. If they are counting on Smith and Wiltjer to return and save them then they are in way more trouble than first thought.
Milwaukee Bucks Deyonta Davis (Foot), Wade Baldwin IV (D-League), Skal Labissiere (CD), Zach LaVine (Hip), Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (Shouldere),
Milwaukee's depth will be tested as two of their most athletic players in LaVine and KCP will miss time. Athleticism and length are a huge part of what the Bucks do and it will be interesting to see how these players absence effects them in overall efficiency.
Minnesota Timberwolves R.J. Hunter (D-League), Jeremy Lin (Hamstring), Richaun Holmes (CD), Avery Bradley (Achilles), Metta World Peace (CD),
Lin is continuing his yoyo existance for the T-Wolves as the troublesome hamstring won't allow him to catch a break. Bradley's injury is even more significant as the combo guards two-way play makes him an ideal running mate for Lowry and they could have some difficulty replacing that effort.
New Orleans Pelicans Jared Sullinger (Foot), A.J. Hammons (CD),
The Peli's still haven't found their groove yet and Sullinger's impact in or out of the lineup doesn't seem to effect that one way or the other.
New York Knicks Maurice Ndour (CD), Nicolas Brussino (D-League),
The Knicks are at full strength on don't miss Ndour or Brussino in the slightest
Oklahoma City Thunder Walter Tavares (Waived in NBA), Josh Richardson (Foot), Jimmy Butler (Illness), Tomas Satoransky (Illness),
The key injury here is that Butler anchors both the offense and the defense for the Thunder who will have to compensate on both ends of the floor.
Orlando Magic Tyler Zeller (Illness),
Zeller has been a minor cog off of the bench for the Magic and his absence won't effect them too much.
Philadelphia 76ers A fully healthy will have no excuses for the coming week.
Phoenix Suns Anthony Brown (Waived in NBA), John Lucas (Waived in NBA),
The Suns are another team that despite the waiving of the end of the bench will be at full strength and she have a solid week.
Portland Trail Blazers Brice Johnson (Back), Ian Mahinmi (Knee), Larry Nance Jr. (Knee), Semaj Christon (CD),
The Trailblazers have a couple of guys that have been out for extended periods with neither of them key contributors they will continue to focus on talent development.
San Antonio Spurs Delon Wright (Shoulder), Maurice Harkless (Calf), Anthony Davis (Hip), Andrew Bogut (Hamstring),
The Spurs are arguably the best team in the league right now and the absence of their starting frontcourt will not bode well for them for the coming week. They could turn the week into a training tool for some of their rotation players to see what guys are made of.
Sacramento Kings Hollis Thompson (Waived in NBA), Steve Novak (CD),
The Kings minus a couple of end of the bench guys are at full strength and could have a chance to overtake the Spurs if they continue their solid play.
Toronto Raptors Tiago Splitter (Hamstring), Isaiah Whitehead (Knee),
Splitter and Whitehead both continue to miss time and their presence or lack there of will have no impact on the Raptors goal to better their draft position.
Utah Jazz Pierre Jackson (Waived in NBA),
The Jazz are at full strength as they look to bounce back from the donut the dropped in the W column last week.
Washington Wizards The Wizards have "0" injuries and will look to continue to gel after more trades from the previous week.
