Lebron, Love and Irving decide it's best to rest...

TEAM INJURIES
Atlanta Hawks DeAndre Bembry (Personal), Malik Beasley (D-League),

Couple of Rooks here who have been solid off the bench for the Hawks. They have a tough week against some quality sides out West but these outs I wouldn't imagine would be the difference maker. Not quite clear as of yet on the reason behind Bembry not traveling with the Hawks but Beasley will continue to log some solid minutes in the D-League before getting called upon again.
Brooklyn Nets Khris Middleton (Hamstring), Dion Waiters (Groin), Al-Farouq Aminu (Back),

Some mainstays here in Middleton and Waiters again suiting up on the bench. The all rounder Aminu has been touch and go pretty much all season so its no surprise here. Tough for the Nets at such a crucial point in the season where they need all the help they can get to climb the standings, they can't afford to keep slipping.
Boston Celtics Tyreke Evans (Knee), Michael Beasley (Foot),

Man is Evans ever going to actually don the Celtics green? Front office have even got that impatient that they made a move to bring in Matthews essentially banishing Evans to coming off the bench when/if he comes back. Beasley will be a noticeable loss given his effectiveness being that offensive spark off the bench. A couple very winnable games this coming week so hopefully its not to big of a loss.
Charlotte Hornets Christian Wood (D-League), Nikola Pekovic (Achilles), Dirk Nowitzki (Achilles), Aaron Harrison (D-League), Dejounte Murray (CD),

Quite a few outs here but nothing that should effect them in any major way, their roster remains virtually unchanged and its probably expected to be seeing guys like Dirk and Pek on this list all season long. The Hornets are on the outside looking in and have a very friendly week coming up to attempt to crack the top 8.
Chicago Bulls Jose Calderon (Hamstring), Chris McCullough (CD), Alonzo Gee (CD), Damian Jones (D-League),

Another week suited up for the first two, nothing new. Joined by a couple of other guys that wont have to much of an impact on this revitalised Chicago ball club this season. Jones look to be a promising prospect who will continue to develop in the D-League.
Cleveland Cavaliers Rakeem Christmas (CD), Lebron James (Rest),

Way to lazy to think of some clever pun involving Rakeem and the fact christmas is around the corner... So we'll just skip right to the important stuff. Lebron is out. Except for Phily the Cavs have a manageable upcoming week but with Lebron out who knows how much that will actually hurt them.
Dallas Mavericks Ivica Zubac (CD),

A solid very young big working his way up the roster in a stacked Dallas team. No surprise here, the guys pretty raw but should see his number called in moments through out the season.
Denver Nuggets James Young (Illness), Alex Len (Hip), Zaza Pachulia (Wrist),

Young still out for yet another week, the nuggets swap out a couple of wings and are forced to replace them with some solid big man depth on the injury list in ZaZa and Len. They are pretty set in the big man department so its next man up of course. Lucky they don't have to tough a week match up wise but they will be tested.
Detroit Pistons Brandan Wright (Ankle), Ben Simmons (Foot), Diamond Stone (CD), James Ennis (Calf), Jerryd Bayless (Wrist), Sheldon McClellan (D-League), Henry Ellenson (Ankle), Solomon Hill (Personal),

Wow... Pistons have 7 active players this week. At least Noel gets to make his debut? No minutes restrictions here young fella hope you're ready. No one bother contacting Laddas because he won't be here all week. Bayless out for the season is just another all to familiar occurrence for Detroit.
Golden State Warriors Quincy Pondexter (Knee), Jose Barea (Calf), Stephen Zimmerman (D-League), Demetrius Jackson (D-League), Rodney Stuckey (Hamstring),

Familiar faces here. JJ hasn't even suited up this year yet and its a shame Rodney went down because he's been fantastic so far. Majority of the impact players are still in and the Dubs will look to build on a great start to this season. They have one of the harder weeks match up wise so maybe the loss of Stuckey will hurt more then you'd think.
Houston Rockets Bryn Forbes (CD), Dante Cunningham (Knee),

Same guys as last week except they get their franchise duo back. The rockets have dropped 6 games in a row, welcome to the league Vitticus. Houston have an easier week coming up so hopefully they can turn it around. The season is still so young after all!
Indiana Pacers The Pacers have a 5 game week coming up, theres a few winnable games in there so perhaps this can be a turning point.
LA Clippers Festus Ezeli (Knee), Alec Burks (Ankle), Justin Hamilton (Migraine), Joel Bolomboy (CD),

Russell and Hood back in which is great. Burks and Ezeli will continue to collect dust up on the shelf. Hamilton has been solid off the bench for them so it looks like Zeller will have his hands full with big man duties off the bench. There are a couple of winnable games next week but its getting to the point where its just going to be another year in the books looking to the future.
LA Lakers George Hill (Toe),

The defending champs must be itching to get this guy back on the floor. They'll still manage sure, giving Brogdon his first start for the year with the hope that some size at the PG spot might be the difference maker. They've drawn some of the most banged up teams this upcoming week so it should be a great learning experience for the youngster.
Memphis Grizzlies Chris Bosh (Blood Clots), Michael Gbinije (CD), Donatas Motiejunas (CD), Georgios Papagiannis (CD), Mike Scott (D-League), Darrell Arthur (Knee),

So Mike Scott drops 41/11 in a double OT thriller against the Wolves and gets rewarded with a week long stint in the D-League. Harsh as from the Grizzlies coaching staff but maybe they're wanting to see some of the other guys perform in big minutes? Recently signed D-Mo doesn't get the nod ether this week and will look forward to getting out on the floor sometime soon. We are all patiently waiting of course for any news on Bosh but doesn't look good...
Miami Heat Anthony Brown (Waived in NBA), Rudy Gay (Hip),

Brown still waived. Rumours circulating that this is a tactical hip injury to force the GM's hand... To do what you say? Who knows, but Gay will watch from afar this week hoping something happens. They at least get JR back who can hopefully provide some sort of offence.
Milwaukee Bucks Cameron Payne (Foot), Deyonta Davis (Foot), Wade Baldwin IV (D-League),

Payne still out but now joined by a couple rookies to keep him company. They're a long way off cracking rotation in this stacked Bucks roster so I can't imagine their contributions being missed. WBIV will torch the D-League in the mean time and wait for his time.
Minnesota Timberwolves Chinanu Onuaku (D-League), T.J. Warren (Head), R.J. Hunter (D-League),

All guys that were here last week. T.J. Hasn't seen any time on the court since coming from the big easy. He kind of struggled there so the Wolves are hoping he can come in and at least provide solid minutes off the bench for them seeing as they gave up Ariza.
New Orleans Pelicans Jared Sullinger (Foot), Chandler Parsons (Knee),

Parsons out this week?! No way!!... Probably up there as having the most GM points ever spent on him in such a short period of time. At least Okafor is back who is having a huge year so far and the main reason the Pels are proving to be competitive so far. They have Play offs in sight this year and they would hope Parsons can at least contribute in some stretches until then. Sullinger just has to keep off the donuts until he gets back.
New York Knicks Luc Mbah a Moute (Shoulder), Kyrie Irving (Rest),

Irving down!! No no, wait a minute... Forgot the beard decided to put his hand up for PG duties this year too. Irving is a big loss sure but I think Harden is going to have a POTW type week as he gets a taste of leading this team without his running mate. Luc out hurts as he's been great for the Knicks so far so Dekker will get his first start.
Oklahoma City Thunder Walter Tavares (Waived in NBA),

Walter still out of favour for the Thunder. Richardson back in but yet to be seen wether he'll get any solid minutes off the bench or wether they might just play it safe and go with the guys that have got them back to the OKC we are all used too.
Orlando Magic Michael Carter-Williams (Knee), Kevin Love (Rest),

MCW still out but the Magic have seemed to manage without him. New recruit K-Love has gotten the week off after helping secure a top 4 seed in the East. Hopefully they can hold the fort while he's gone because they're a couple losses away from dropping out of the top 8.
Philadelphia 76ers So we may as well just book it in now for 18 in a row.
Phoenix Suns C.J. Wilcox (CD), Kemba Walker (Personal), Omri Casspi (Illness), Monta Ellis (Groin),

O man the Suns take a huge hit having to get by without their star back court in Kemba and Groin. Kemba should only be a temporary out but we can only hope Ellis' injuries are nothing serious. This weeks responsibilities will land firmly on the shoulders of Al Horford; so if they can at least stay competitive they might find themselves making headway towards securing a top 8 seed in the West.
Portland Trail Blazers Brice Johnson (Back), Ian Mahinmi (Knee), Tyler Johnson (Illness),

Johnson joins these two familiar faces battling an illness. They will continue to struggle regardless, its just a grind out game now.
San Antonio Spurs Delon Wright (Shoulder), Andrew Bogut (Rest),

Harkless and Cabocio get the all clear and Wright continues to miss time on the court due to his shoulder. Newly acquired Bogut will be resting up this week as the SA training staff play it safe with him. He will look to provide some solid minutes for them off the bench down the stretch.
Sacramento Kings Reggie Bullock (Knee), Gerald Green (Hamstring), Hollis Thompson (Knee),

There goes all of the Kings options at SF outside of Batum... Clarkson set to play SF? Bullock looks to probably miss the rest of the year while Greens out with a niggling Hamstring. Thompson was just acquired in a big deal with the Spurs and will hopefully look to make his Debut for the Kings next week as his status is listed as GTD.
Toronto Raptors Tiago Splitter (Hamstring),

Splitter still out with a dodgy hamstring. The Raptors have been moving pieces all week in an effort to work towards the goal of a rebuild. Dunn will be given every chance in the world and expect some big numbers for this youngster.
Utah Jazz Derrick Rose (Back), Victor Oladipo (Wrist),

The Jazz making some big time moves to bring in LMA see their starting backcourt go down the following week. Roses injury history is a worry but its apparently only back spasms (let's hope!). Looks like the Jazz new big three won't get any air time together which is a bit of a let down... Utah need to turn it around very soon before it's to little to late.
Washington Wizards Carmelo Anthony (Shoulder), John Lucas (CD),

Daaaamn son, Melo was balling and now has to ride it out as he watches his battle it out in a tough upcoming schedule. The Wizards are just hanging onto the 8th seed in the East which has been a welcome surprise to many... Hopefully they can maintain this consistency and not drop off to much with shades of last season wanting to be put behind them. Carter will provide some veteran support off the bench in Melos absence but it looks as if Morris will have to carry the load.
