CAN I BORROW A FEELING?

The Miami Heat have been licking their wounds over the past few weeks with little to chant about.

With the absence of potent scorer JJ Redick and new recruit Avery Bradley, the franchise has been left asking themselves many questions.

And that is exactly what chief reporter for the Miami Heat website – Chris Tucker-Sawyer-Parkinson did.

Welcome to Open Mic Night. Tonight, I am joined by GM Breece, new recruit Avery Bradley, spiritual leader DJ Augustin and fan-favourite Bismack Biyombo. Thank you for joining gentlemen.

GM Breece: Thanks for having us.

C-Tucker: The team has suffered 7-13 record since Week 9. Many fans are wondering – why and how? Can you respond to the fans?

DJ Augustin: I can take this one. While I respect that some fans might be questioning the results, know that we are too and we are also looking to bring back our opening week’s form. From day 1, we have been under no illusions about the challenges that we face, and we have also been realistic that change is and has been needed in Miami.

C-Tucker: Avery, you have come into this squad after a season of trade ‘hot potato’. Has it been hard to settle, during a time that has also seen you on the sidelines?

Avery Bradley: The NLL demands that you acclimatize and acclimate to your surroundings. You can’t be sitting on your past. It has been tough. But having said that, it has also been validating because the organization has allowed me to ease in. This feels like home, and I don’t want to be the ‘hot potato’, but we can keep the heat. (chuckles)

C-Tucker: After the all-star break, you lineup against the Clippers, Nets, Thunder, Hornets. How do you see this panning out?

Bismack Biyombo: Geling takes time, especially integrated two new players into the rotation. However, I think we will be back surprising the league and carrying the Heat torch to the playoffs.
