The Dancing Bear

Reports are that The Portland Trailblazers are somewhat thrilled with their newest acquisition, Guerschon Yabusele.

A deal involving The Boston celtics and The Brooklyn Nets was able to be completed, a deal in which Portland believe they have found their new cornerstone of the franchise.

Yabusele, the French native has been playing ball on french national for many years and had signed with Rouen in the Pro A League. Yabusele had the attention of scouts early on in his career. His mixture of finesse, brute force and explosiveness definitely caught the attention of  many.

Standing at only 6’8”, one could say from that he is underside for the PF position, but his 7’2” wingspan and his hefty 270 lbs frame more than compensate. He is a strong young man who appears to be able to put on weight easily, so diet is something he will have to keep a close eye on. Hopefully he stays away from the Bacon Maple Donuts from Voodoo Donuts in downtown Portland.

With the right regime and workouts Guerschon could become an absolute beast physically. His booty is something else too. He has that Charles Barkley booty. Although thats not the only comparison made between him and Barkley, his game could potentially be something similar to the Hall of Famers.

What surprises most about Yabusele’s game is his range. He has a nice looking stroke and has already shown to be an effective floor spacer.

Yabusele played for the Shanghai Sharks in China last season. He rounded out his season there with averages of 20.9 points, 9.4 rebounds, 2 assists, 1.4 steals and 1.1 blocks. Shooting 52.7% from the field and 36.4% from 3, on 5.2 attempts.

Guerschon was asked how he got the nickname “The Dancing Bear”? He went on to explain that Jaylen Brown came up with the name because he had never seen someone so big but also so nimble before.

There you go folks, The Dancing Bear is here, already a fan favourite with high expectations but much to prove.
