DeMarcus Cousins
Boogie Cousins is on his way
to Minnesota. This after very brief
trade talks with Orlando GM Javi. We
have always had close contact with Javi on a lot of deals, and he reached out
saying he was interested in some picks in the top 10 and an established starter. We were able to flip our #7 pick for the #9
pick and #26 pick in a deal with Indiana and Oklahoma City. This gave us multiple picks in the 1st
round and Jonas to offer, and Javi agreed to the deal.
The deal won’t be completed
until after the draft, but both teams got something they wanted. The Timberwolves scouts and assistant GMs are
a little annoyed with Spudspace after furious draft preparation has all gone to
waste. Being able to bring in one of the
best big men in the league was an opportunity just too good to pass up here
though.
After other trades to be
completed after the draft, this is what our starting lineup should look like:

This is assuming we are able
to resign all of these players, which may be more difficult as Jeff Teague may
be on the way out in the NBA. It’s
unclear of the future of some of the players, but we plan to have max GM points
to spend to keep our players.
While Jabari Parker is still
recovering from his injury, the plan is to start either Zaza or Salah Mejri at
Center and move Boogie to PF. Jabari is targeting
a healthy return by the all-star break, and we hope to keep afloat until he
gets back.
In the end, we flipped:
