What went…
Was there any doubt the Timberwolves wouldn’t get a Trade Crazy edition? Heck, GM Javijoe isn’t just Trade Crazy….he’s Trade Insane. This team changes players faster than Madonna trades in husbands. But, this was a good year for the Wolves. The team clinched its division but then got hunted down by the Blazers in the first round. But hey, for Javijoe it’s not about the winning….it’s about the TRADES! Without further ado, our special Minnesota Timberwolves Team by Team, Trade Crazy style.

Erick Dampier, Devean George and Thabo Sefolosha for Jared Jeffries, Mehmet Okur and Gabe Pruitt- The draft barely ends and Minnesota is chucking out starting center Dampier….and George? Isn’t he on the roster right now? Oh wait, I get it, they trade back for him during season. Okur is the prize in this deal, but don’t expect him to stick around long. Jeffries’ contract sucks, but he’ll be gone again soon. Pruitt wins the lottery and remains….and does very little.

Mehmet Okur for Luis Scola, Juan Navarro and Thaddeus Young- Wow! Decent turn around, Javi. Three up-and-coming studs for Okur. Too bad none of these guys in on Minnesota anymore. Worth commenting on? Nah.

Joel Przybilla, Jared Jeffries, Josh Childress, Amir Johnson, Anthony Parker and Wilson Chandler for Antawn Jamison and Jerome James- Holy hell! That’s six players for two, Javi! The season hasn’t even started yet and you’ve ditched 10 players. It’s hard to be a wolf in this pack. Jamison is a stud but James is bound for the waiver wire. Dumping Przybilla and Jeffries was a wise move. The others are all good (though Childress pulled a vanishing act). Jeez, what’s next?

Othella Harrington and Thaddeus Young for Anderson Varejao and 2nd rounder- Young is the keeper in this deal. The deals continue with the Bucks. Wanna trade mascots too? Varejao will not be as good as young. Bad move, Minny. The season’s started at least.

Baron Davis, Juan-Carlos Navarro, Al Thornton, Luis Scola and 2nd rounder for Lamar Odom, Coby Karl, Mike Miller and Melvin Ely – This is just getting too crazy.

Anthony Carter, CJ Miles, Jared Dudley and Elton Brand for Boris Diaw-Riffiod, Larry Hughes and Devean George – Diaw will only last two weeks. Brand will be a free agent soon, but Hughes? Yikes.

Boris Diaw-Riffiod for Samuel Dalembert- Good move for Minnesota, but after everything listed above, it still seems insane.

Lamar Odom, Robin Lopez and Nick Fazekas for Brook Lopez and Jason Terry- Is the first time one twin has been traded for another? No one likes Terry.
